Charity autos
REPAIR
Saturdays at the NL, 9AM-3PM
our purpose
Charity Autos Repair is a program that provides light mechanical repair to folks in our community here in Lincoln, Nebraska who may be struggling with financial resources to keep their cars on the road.

We are able to provide work on vehicles for a suggested donation of $20. The rest of the labor provided is free.
how it works
Vehicle problems can cause a great deal of stress, especially to those who don’t have a great deal of financial margin. The work we do helps with that stress and can help folks get to work and keep their daily routines going!

For those looking for this kind of help, the easiest way to get started is to call us at
402-477-3550 and leave a voicemail on the Charity Autos Repair Line.
Our director, Dan, makes phone calls to set up appointments on Wednesday nights.
our volunteers
Charity Autos Repair utilizes volunteers from CCCL (Community Corrections Center, Lincoln-a work release prison). Our mechanics are not certified, but have experience and expertise when it comes to fixing up vehicles!
This volunteering opportunity means a great deal to the guys who can come out into the community and give back with their skills. It builds relationships that help them reintegrate with society and connect with the Northern Lighthouse Church.
grounds crew
We also have volunteers from CCCL who work with our grounds crew for the church—they provide a very vital service of maintaining the church property—including repairs, gardening, mowing the acreage, painting, and others facilities-related projects.
